Crisis Stabilization Referral — Children

For individuals 5 through 17 years of age experiencing a mental health crisis who do not meet criteria for inpatient psychiatric services and need further stabilization. Must be screened by a provider prior to admission. This is a voluntary program that does not accept court-ordered patients.

Conditions that may prohibit admission

  • Pending arrest or warrant
  • Evaluated and determined to need inpatient psychiatric services
  • Acute medical needs
  • High risk of violence
  • Not medication compliant
  • Needing assistance completing activities of daily living
  • Listed on the sex offender registry

Referral Information

Required for all minors. Guardian must be reachable throughout the stabilization stay.
